Ahh... so you were saying how much you loved to suck the juice off a faggot, and someone misunderstood.

I was in a still life drawing class, it was a plate of spaghetti and meatballs. I made a mistake with my drawing, all I said was "I need a rubber so I can do this faggot properly" and they asked me to leave.

At least you erred on the side of safety.

And even if it is tasteless shit, it's healthier tasteless shit - lower salt & sugar... with no added water or honey glaze...

Yeah, what is that? Why does everything have to be so sweet? And why are the chickens injected with water, sometimes as much as 4% or 5%.

And don't get me started on marshmallows in the salad. I'm as culturally open minded as the next person, but the sugar is everywhere.

In the UK it is legal to add up to 10% added water without it being on the label, so anything saying 10% added water could contain 20%. The reason is that disgusting stuff called 'reformed' then they have to add the watr to make the natural glue to hold it all together.

I'm on the verge of becoming a vegetarian here. Or maybe keeping my own chickens.

I shan't - only to mention that I haven't come across that one yet. Marshmallows in a fruit salad - yes, and I quite like that, but not in a conventional salad ...

Now, that bloody awful sweet potato/marshmallow combination that people put on the same plate as their meat, potatoes and gravy on Thanksgiving. What the hell is that all about, then?

We have an excellent Christmas lunch (holiday lunch, I guess..) where I work, about a week before Christmas. Best thing about it is, the food is EXACTLY the same every year, & I've worked here for seventeen years. You load up your plate with salads, veg etc, then the chef carves you slices of roast beef or chunks of turkey to order. Yum. I don't get a lot of work done that afternoon, I can assure you.

The weird thing is, among the salads is this cheesecake thing with bright red jello on top, cut into big squares. Folk take a slab and it gets covered in potatoes, veg, meat, gravy etc. I've asked people about it.. that cheesecake and jello thing, is it good with the roasted veg and gravy etc.. No, they assure me, it's not cheesecake, it's a SALAD. Er what makes cheesecake and jello a salad??

I should add this excellent meal ends with a proper dessert which is excellent too... (President gives a speech, but it's fortunately got shorter & shorter as the years go by...) All retirees are invited to this meal too, so even when I retire I'll be able to indulge.

Robin, dear boy - we live in a country where the simple addition of mayonnaise and a bit of a swizz with a spoon is enough to convey the title 'salad' upon an item of food (I refer, of course, to egg salad, chicken salad, tuna salad ...)

As to that cheesecake/jello item - well I'm lost for words, really. I can only imagine that, with meat and veg on it must taste truly disgusting. Either you work with a bunch of heavy smokers, or taste buds are just different the world over

When we got married, here in TX, we decided to have a mix of English and Texan food - my contribution was a roast beef dinner, with yorkshire puds and (proper) gravy and trifle. I was gobsmacked when people put everything together on one plate and the gravy was swilling round the trifle.

"What have I done?" I thought, "They're a bunch of heathens!"

I like how egg becomes salad with the addition of extra egg.

Are you serious? Trifle and gravy. Yuk!

Eh?
One egg is an egg but two make a salad?

It takes some getting used to. I don't do it myself but now I'm no longer surprised when others do.

I call it 'egg and onion, without onion'. Or 'fart sandwiches' to make my son laugh.
