I'm just amazed that he remembered Sir Alex.

When you've got to get somewhere by a certain time and some knob jockey holds you up so you're running late.

Well then getting stuck on the road behind every granny that feels driving 10mph under the speed limit is going to fast....

Ferret-raping-cumdumpsterdrinkingfecal-coffindodgers.

Meh.

Meh.

There do seem to be a lot of very slow drivers these days. They often seem to be driving either Buicks or pickup trucks.

Sounds like you need to work on your time management Bob.

What you need to do is tell the missus you need to be somewhere half an hour earlier than you actually need to be there. That way you can actually be on time.

Peeve of the day: People who say Mark like the R is an L, people who say Dawn the same as they say Don, and people who say Craig like it is a pocket-joiner system (Kreg).

I have to do that with my old man. We need to leave home by 8 to get somewhere by 9. 7:55 he decides he needs to do the whole shit/shower/shave routine. :sneaky: Invariably we end up rushing around because he can't get himself ready in a normal amount of time. Me? I'm very low maintenance and can go from sound asleep to out the door in less than 15 minutes.

The nearest major intersection to where we live was the scene yesterday of a collision between 2 cars.

From what I could see, there were no major injuries, or even minor ones, though I would guess both vehicles are write-offs ... there was debris scattered about.

So here is the pet peeve.

A RED LIGHT MEANS STOP, YOU ARSING SMEG SLURPING MENTAL KNOB MUNCHING BANANA WORRYING BOTTOM BOILER.

A YELLOW LIGHT IS A PRETTY GOOD CLUE THERE WILL BE A RED LIGHT VERY VERY SOON. SPEEDING UP DOES NOT SLOW DOWN THE PASSAGE OF TIME FOR THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS - THE LAWS OF PHYSICS ARE NOT THAT BENDABLE, EVEN IF THE LAWS OF THIS LAND ARE.

You utter, utter pr1ck.

As a result, the cops show up on a couple of motorbikes - all very quick & business like...

BUT - practically everybody else goes in to gawping peeping tom mode including a big fella in a shiny 'good ol boy truck'... and nearly runs over 2 young ladies crossing the road as indicated by the 'WALK' light.... I hope somebody boils your flatulent arse and sticks the resulting goo on to the end of your nose - that will give you something to gawp at, you knob head.

Other than that, all is peachy.

BLOODY doctors yet again.

Yesterday my wife gets an invoice out of the blue from a doctor neither of us have ever heard of. Service date was early September, so SEVEN months ago. !!! He wants $17.95 for looking at some test results. Er... no. It's not going to happen. We don't know who he is, we have no contractual relationship with him, he can go boil himself.

What if I got a plumber in to do some home improvements. The work is done, he sends me an invoice, I pay. Seven months later an electrician I've never heard of sends me a bill, he claims the plumber called him in to check the wiring after he'd done the plumbing. No.. that's not the way contractors work, so why should it be OK for medical services????????????

I thought it was standard practice for the medical profession here to try and scam people?
Seriously, maybe it was just a scam.

This is true.. they moved to Florida in retirement, and left the Buick or the pickup in rural NYS with their 95 year old father, so he could look after it & change the oil every 3,000 miles etc.
