They (the powers that BE) should definitely adopt that motto and put it on the banner headline.

Not sure that the headline "SORRY" will attract the punters though.

Exactly you want to make sure you aren't "too nice" around here matey. BE is probably even less tolerant than the RAF in that respect.:frown:

Intolerant knob heads...!!!

Re: Pet Peeves?

Before I even met my ex-wife, she had 2 cats:
Pet - Peeve was a Persian.
Pet - Tunia was a tiger looking thing.

Not long after we married they both died of old age.

We got Pet-Al who was a big boy aged about a year, rescued after Hurricane Charlie in 2004.

When we got divorced, we were dividing up everything.
She ended up with the Condo, I ended up with the cat.

I think I got the better deal as Al is 50kg right side up, but the the Condo is $50k upside down!

My pet peeve is people who buy a few items at the grocery store, but then self-check them at the non-express line. So I have to stand behind them with a full grocery cart whilst they check through their few things when they could just as easily use one of the express lanes which are all empty! I do not dare to use the express lane with more than 12 items as other customers get so hostile.

Please would you post a photo of your 110lb cat - that's something I have to see.

That's how he survived the hurricane.

Target's checkouts. Why do they have two rows? You have to somehow navigate passed other people paying and queuing to get to an open checkout, and they are only open because no one else has managed to get through yet. And the express ones have never been open.

Grocery shopping in general. Why can't the fridge just magically always have everything I need in it?

Re: Pet Peeves?

The people who pack the bags at the shop put everything in wrong - salad on the bottom, onions on top. I try to pack it myself but always get weird looks when I tell them I can do it myself, then they hurry me along. So annoying.
I gave up - just let them pack it then have to take it all out and repack outside the shop.

I also don;t like the amount of placcie bags they use, so bring my own. Grrr

Re: Pet Peeves?

We've done parking... but I'm adding another one to the cumdumpster pile of arsetards.

Bad enough when someone parks really badly, but you try park up close to try and not park like a dickhead and try to get between the lines...and when you get back to find that knobcheese has gone making you look like you've parked like a well spanked monkey with someone else tutting at you as they try to get into that spot.

Especially annoying yesterday that and I know it wasn't a chain of bad parking because the knob cheese was on the end spot and was well over. The tut tuttering was doubly annoying as the person kept reversing in and out trying to get into the spot without letting me get out.

Another wee annoyance, to the none committal answer is the none answer. Asking someone if they think it might be better going this or that way for instance and they reply with "what do you think?" or even worse, "sure, whatever is best"...errr if you don't know, say so but arrrrrrghhh....

People who have stupid peeves about things, like whether the packers at the supermarket put the shopping in their bags, in the right order.

People who don't know what the word peeve means.
