edit: did you add the photo? how did I miss that first time?

Ah, I thought of a clip as bigger and more decorative.

Aaargh indeed! They are everywhere, she leaves them in her pockets too so they get in the washing machine.

I keep threatening to shave my daughter's head if I find any more of the bloody things around. They're in the washing machine, in the lint filter of the dryer, all over the bathroom counter, the floor, I even found my cat playing with one.

Hang on a minute Ms monetpenny20; you are in Australia? I have been moaning about the word 'bobby pin' as an Americanism, and why can they not just say 'clip', have I been amiss? Do Brits call clips, bobby pins?

Clips are more like what we call barettes. Clips are bigger and usually decorative where bobby pins are meant to not be seen.

Goobers are pretty much harmless, so no worries.

The folks who live around the corner....for never clearing the pavement on snow on the side street that we live on. They clear the path on the pain road side though.

Knobhead even runs a snow ploughing sideline.

Also hate how when all the main roads get ploughed, the side intersections get blocked in by the snow, which is a bugger to then cross over if you're pushing kids in a push chair....that and trying to help a little kid clear the snow bank to cross the road at a zebra crossing.
