George W. Bush was smart enough to know you don't want to motivate and anger your opposition. Trump is a slow learner. |

Would you be ok with cutting Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare in order to keep these huge tax breaks for corporations and the rich in place? |

I wonder if he will hold the same legal opinion now , but as Trumpy & his surrogates have set him up for life ,on the gravy train that is, he will now fight tooth & nail to defend the lying bastard !

Also, consider how this all looks to people who disagree with you politically. Allowing powerful congressmen to use unfettered political power to subpoena and release private information on political rivals is an extraordinarily bad idea. It's extremely likely that Nunes and Giuliani are going to sue Schiff personally, and they'll probably win. |
Re: 2020 Election
Nunes likes to sue people anyway. I think he has something like half a billion due to him if he wins all his outstanding defamation lawsuits.
Too bad he doesn't understand anti-SLAPP laws though. |

Having a congressman (again, not a cop) subpoena and publicly release the private phone records of political rivals is both unprecedented and very likely illegal. It's a violation of Federal law for phone companies to hand over records on private citizens (like congressmen) except to law enforcement bearing warrants. That's not the case here. Also, note that Schiff sent the subpoena (in secret, of course) to AT&T a full month before Congress authorized the impeachment inquiry so Schiff's claim that this was part of the inquiry is patently false. Subpoenaing and then releasing Giuliani's records is particularly egregious as it raises questions of attorney-client privilege. After all, Giuliani is Trump's personal lawyer.

"You guys got it all wrong about what happened," Biden said in an interview airing Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET on HBO.

AOC is smart and intelligent. That's one of the reasons the right are so obsessed with her, they only like simple minded people they can identify with. |
