I see that Donald Trump Jr. retweeted a new 'birther' conspiracy that someone now Kamala Harris isn't a 'Black American'

The rotten apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Interesting, you support the one drop rule.

Now the one drop rule is an American thing, well was I thought, so for those not familiar here is a link, not behind a pay wall. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One-drop_rule

Re: 2020 Election

I honestly have near heard of the ‘one drop rule’ before, but a black person is a black person, and Harris is clearly black. It’s not like the racists in this country stop to do a genealogy test before spewing their bile.

American society views her as black. A person making this observation is not necessarily promoting the 1-drop rule for the benefit of racists, they are just acknowledging the zeitgeist / reality.

It's merely more racist trolling from Boiler.

I am not sure what is meant by American Society, if there is one American view on anything I have not noticed it.

An article that may be interesting, her Mother obtained custody at an early age and moved to Canada, so seems most of the bussing must have occurred in Canada?. Interesting her father goes on about the racist Californian legal system that blocked him having an involvement in bringing her up.

Many reports say that she identified with her Indian Mother, well until political expediency came into the equation.

None of this really matters if she was not a Candidate, if you are going to play that game she must know that others will do the same and they have plenty of ammunition.

"American society" as in mainstream American society. If anyone looks black / partially black they are considered black. Barack Obama was half white and half East African, so he had no ancestry from the trans-Atlantic slave trade but in America he is still considered black because he shows obvious sub-Saharan features. Some things in America are widely acknowledged.

Some basic reading would help.

As our resident troll prefers unfounded speculation to facts, here's some background to Kamala Harris' busing experiences in Berkeley:

Well, Boiler, it seems your attempts to cast aspersions on Harris didn't quite work ... your handlers won't be pleased.

https://www.politico.com/story/2019/...e-poll-1392964

Biden plummets, Harris vaults to second in major poll

Basically, it's Biden at the top of the pack with 22 percent, Harris 17, Warren 15 percent, Bernie Sanders 14 percent.

I'm starting to feel hopeful! Not only is Harris rising, but Sanders is falling. Two good trends!

Long way to go, though ...

That one debate performance and Bidens support has collapsed. They'll all be on him like a pack of rabid dogs at the next debates.

+1.

Really like Harris, but not ready to support her yet.
