Hi,

I keep an eye on CE as I have an interest or two in the eastern Algarve, I have to say that I agree with Laguna here, you Spain forum habituees and mods alike treat the whole of BE as bit of a playground.

A fair proportion of users of this site have no interest in becoming 'one of the crowd' but find it entertaining and useful in equal measure.

The general tone seems to have dropped here because serial posters who have attained 'status' seem irreproachable from those that have a responsibilty to maintain standards.

actually some of us have been seriously reprimanded and the note was clearly noted, so why don't we all just move on and drop it?

I assume I am allowed on the thread since no one has banned me from it so I shall remain, but there will be no more "trouble" from this irreproachable poster.

You know what it's like - you've got to spread it around before you can give it again. I will rectify as soon as. And don't worry, it was all duly noted and will be repaid

Thank you Left Field. I'm trying very hard to return this thread to what you want it to be, but unfortunately people keep stirring it up again

Actually a playground it aint. We go out of our way to help a lot of people on these forums and if you failed to notice that then I'm afraid you haven't looked very far. The moderators and members give a lot of information, and I for one dont hold it against them at all if they have a bit of fun whilst doing it. No one has attained any kind of status at all and certain people, they know who they are, have been asked to step back.

And when I begin to get things sorted what happens????? Someone then makes personal attacks on post counts and starts it all off again.

So ......... for once and for all please lets draw a line under whats gone before, and get things back to normal for you ....... OK?

The point is that these thing have been sorted, and I feel will for all you new buyers. We were there over the Easter period and were really pleased at the way things are maturing, far more quickly than we had expected, the area is beginning to have that 'lived in' look, of course this applies mostly to the earliest built, but its good to see it happening and will of course spread to the newer places as time goes on. We were amazed at how quickly the popularity of the golf has grown. Its so good to see the place busy everyday. It was an added bonus to meet some of you and have some serious socializing, we hope to catch up with you guys again. Fadesa had been in to do our snagging, not that there was much to do and it did take a reminder from us, but now its done and we are happy. The 'eyesore' that we looked down on has been tidied up considerably. Overall we feel Costa Esuri is beginning to look and feel quite lovely and we look forward to our next visit. I think this feeling of contentment and happiness with your places will come to you all in time. Kim
Hear hear Kim, We were also out over Easter (it was good to meet you and all the other posters) and agree that things get better every time we are out. Yes, there have been niggles, but gradually they are all being sorted and we love both our house and the area and cannot wait to get back there and meet more posters.

So now we're all friends again, I return to the most important topic. FA Cup final in the bloody club house.

I offer cheap beer and downright dodgy cider and no-one cares. Do I have to up the offer to Lincolnshire poteen?

Back to the cup final, I'm pleased I'm not in London that day, Cardiff and Portsmouth fans drunk together? Now there's a recipie, it will be beautiful. Very similar to when the Bolshoil last visited the Royal Albert Hall.

On a less serious note, how do I get furniture from Ikea in Seville to the house in Esuri? How easy is delivery to organise via IKEA or should I hire a van?

James.

P.S. oh and the mention of the grand slam hasn't gone unnoticed ;-)

IKEA will deliver for you at a cost but it will be better than hiring a van for the day and less hassel

If you search the previous thread I'm sure someone offered a man with a van who would not only collect and deliver from Ikea but assemble and take away the packaging. Anybody remember who it was?
