I would be surprised if this were true, the commercial area seemed to be way off completion when I was there last week, the builders would have to really pull their fingers out to open anything on the 1st June..... assuming you meant 2008!! I heard that completion was due in the autumn, which, by the look of things on site, appears much more realistic....... unless they are talking about the completed, unoccupied, smaller commercial unit behind my pad at M6.

Just finally booked flights and car for trip in May. So looking forward to sitting on the terrace, swimming in the pool(s) and just generally hanging out around Ayamonte.

So I might see some of you 14th-24th May
We are driving down for the first time, arrive 15th May depart 29th staying on CE for the first time so hope the Eroski or somewhere for milk and bread is open. Will wear our expat badges in the clubhouse.

I have heard there is a Brit living on site who would be prepared to take on the role of president if he can get enough support .If anyone has info regarding this and would like to see a more transparent set up please get in touch. Perhaps a separate thread to pool ideas and strategies should be set up?

Hello Laslo,
Yes I know the Brit, you are talking about! Unfortunately we can't discuss this matter on an open site, if A.D.A where to get wind of us getting organised, they would move heaven and earth to put a stop to it! I'm sorry if that sounds paranoid but thats how it is!
The gentleman concerned does indeed need support, so if you can think of a way keeping our correspondence private, or perhaps passing on your personal email so he can contact you, please do!
Sorry I can't be of any more help to you, I am new to this forum, "joined today" so don't know my way around it yet!
The Brit we have been talking about, knows exactly what he's doing, and how best to remove the President, and ultimately A.D.A, he wants to set up a residents committee, to run our own administration, and you can't get more open and transparent than that!
He has a lot of support, but not enough, so please try to think of a way to make private contact!

sounds like a good idea. Flying down in may for presidents meeting would like to make contact but still keeping an open mind as last meeting there were to many hidden agendas dont want to jump from frying pan into fire so needs some discussion.

Tucked away at the back of the shed near the Conforta area there used to be a plan on the wall which showed the take up of the commercial centre and where shops would be located. Eroski was a definite but well to the back I think so maybe they are further advanced in that area. I suppose what will control it all will be the availability of car parking if that is not ready will the council allow anything to open?

The way to discuss privately via the board is by PMs which will give you access to enable you to email each other if you so wish and once you have done that your email address will be available to the person you have private messaged.

Ok for those of you who wondered what the socket was... well it is a blanking plate that goes over an existing empty conduit.

An electrician can feed a wire down this conduit directly to e.g a sattelite point, and it threads it way through the appartment until it reaches the other end.

I have these for the installation of e.g sattelite or the A/C remote control unit placed on the wall.

Very handy.... but not fibre optic (sadly)!

Jon
