When you decide to start a religion you actually only have two choices IMO, one, you base it on an existing religion or you come up with a brand new idea.
Mohamed based his on early Christianity which in itself in turn took a lot from primitive Judaism (that's the reason for the Homophobia and gender discrimination in Islam) The only really brand new religion I know about is Trekkies :-) |

Christianity based its religion on Judaism... Not really sure what your point is though.
I'm curious why did you feel the need to repeat what I said although I notice you dropped the primitive qualifier |

As I wasn't actually talking to you it doesn't bother me too much that you don't see the point.

Re: British standards ???
Oh and, going back to the thread title briefly.... British Standards? I frigging love this country but my god, we've got some crap to deal with, we have raped, pillaged, plundered and murdered our way around the world and much of that can still be felt today.... If I could go back and delete the Victorian expansionism I would... We have a proud history but the Empire is one that has far too many negatives that outweigh the many positives....
That's me done for serious posts.... carry on with the bigotry.... |

Probably could actually, I just wanted to put my flag in the sand so to speak, but you're right... none of the colonial countries have anything to be proud of from that whole era of time....
some used just soldiers to do the work, others used Soldiers of Christ backed by military men to get the message across (Shogun gives a very good example of this) ` |
