I was distressed by those and similar articles in the Sunday Times this week. According to government sources we are spending inordinate amounts of public money on education and our health services, even more than the previous Labour government, and where has it got us?
Our efforts have produced illiterate louts, an epidemic of obese babies, and old people mistreated in care homes. You can only conclude that throwing money at the problems only make them worse. But you've got to blame something because our proud nation didn't suddenly stumble into illiteracy for no reason. I suspect there is no simple answer, certainly not a political one, Could it have something to do with the country being flooded with immigrants who do the work we used to do, taking away any ambition for the indigenous population to compete? Let the foreigners work for silly money, we can get more in benefits? I'm sure I'm wrong, but I can't think of anything else. |
Re: British standards ???
Sky news is doing an immigration feature this week, Interesting stuff.
Education stats in the UK will never look good. Thousands joining the system yearly who don't speak a word of Engish. Similar health stats when the UK lets in people with Aids, TB etc, The same people who run down the education and health stats are the ones supporting unlimited immigration:thumbdown: |
Re: British standards ???
How do you explain that education levels have improved in London, the city with the largest numbers of immigarnts yet fallen in " white " working class towns.
Focus less on race and more is happening to schools across the UK. |

Focus less on race and more is happening to schools across the UK. when I watch programmes about school, some have a better regime than others but I don't know what they learn, for me every lesson should be like an exam, you concentrate, no mobile phones, no chit chat, a little bit of humour yes, but too much leeway is given to kids who don't want to learn |
Re: British standards ???
It was in the paper today that they closed the school no ?

Yes, remember Ellis Island in America, they didn't let them in. The Eastern Europeans are the ones coming into the UK with it.

Re: British standards ???
The usual suspects are back.
Was has TB got to do with falling education levels in the UK. If the UK is ever going to compete on the world stage and stop importing qualified engineers, doctors etc etc etce etc. We have to raise the levels across the board. This is a Britsh Standard that needs raising that everyone should be concerned about. |

They let their council house go, sold their furniture, got rid of pets etc, and went to USA to live. They got as far as immigration control and were turned back because one of the children had a lung condition, I don´t know if it was TB. But they did not get in. |
Re: British standards ???
They probably did not have a visa a condition of which is a health clearance.
No visa no entry. Getting permission to live in the US is a very long and complicated business. Of vourse it does not stop tens of thousands of illegal immigrants arriving every year. It makes our problems look tiny compared to theirs. |

He was told to "get out" on a live TV debate, by a minister. Great innit? |
Re: British standards ???
So now we have it, the reason why educations standards have fallen in the UK is due to gay/lesbian muslims with aids and TB, who are illegal immigrants, living on benefits with adopted underage daughters who they are trying to force into illegal marriages.MM and JT seem to have finally solved all the UK,s problems.

Re: British standards ???
I saw a surprising statistic on the news today. Our immigrants bring 7Billion pounds into the UK every year. It might explain a few things.
I suppose it could just be a couple of Russians. |
