we live in Redlynch in the northern end of Cairns 10 mins to city and 10 to the beaches.

Everything is pretty laid back here and no real traffic jams to speak off, lots of fee activities for...

yeah hes got city and guilds in HVAC, has his apprentice papers hes got certificates coming out of his ears but cant get ARTC because they dont recognise mechanical services plumbing, the building...

we have been here 12 weeks now. In the uk we were one of those who looked at all the job sites and thought ok, plenty of jobs, no problem. :eek: how wrong we were.

thanks for that Jan, I think they are called Deta in qld, who refer you to TAFE and thats where our problem starts TAFE haven't got a clue :eek:

was it definitely just air con or did it include refrigeration, its just it seems not having the fridge for us is causing the problems

could you possibly tell me how you did it and what is the necessary equivalent qualification and who in fact licenses you at the end.

welding courses qld

My OH is looking for a MIG welding course to complete, preferably one that can be done in a week rather than on a saturday over 2/3 weeks.

He already has other codes, but he is looking to add this...

yes he trained in heating, ventilation and air con (HVAC) no fridge, electric which seems to be our problem.

For the visa his trade is called mechanical services and air con.

He fits air con...

we have been here since Jan honestly its not that bad the water drains very quickly, they are very prepared here IMO. Just stay away from property in low lying areas and you will be fine. :thumbsup:

WE did loads of research had 2 visits one to validate, I couldn't research anymore.

I knew what to expect but no amount of research can prepare you for being here for 3 months and not finding work...

Hi Mandy I really appreciate the offer, unfortunately he doesn't do any sheet metal duct work installation.

He fabricates and intalls piping for air handling units and the like.
