I wouldn't worry too much about schools - most do a 'test' on entry, but my personal opinion is they accept anyone.Despite what some may say schools here are run as a business, and as usual its all...

I also see someone reccommended Pickfords - I wouldn't touch them. A friend here had used them from the north east and lots of things were broken, ruined etc. It took months to get the insurance...

We used movecorp [ actually based near you in Birmingham]. We had half a container amounting to about 50 boxes, a piano and a unit I couldn't part with. This cost £2.000 all in.... everything arrived...

Kitchen cabinets.... I couldn't agree more MH... mine are really cheap and dated - when I think of the kitchen I left behind in the uk!!!! Still I am not paying for it here [ rented] so shouldn't...

According to another dubai forum ghd straighteners cannot be found here. I bought straighteners in uk on line called st8 which are half the price of ghds. Bought brand new from ebay at around £40.00....
