A rough sort of plan was to be leaving perth May time up to broome which i've told will be full of work at that time or make may way to straight to darwin at roughly the given times you said .....

Planning on been up there around june time whilst on a WHV , are there many casual jobs around that time bar/waiting on /cafe work or anything really?

Surely change the mutligang to Australia plug and then plug 4/8 UK plugs into the 4/8 way adopter there fore only changing one socket :p

I'd have to agree as even in NI points gained there don't count back inmain land England, so for them to carry weight in Australia I would find hard to belive or understand still stranger things have...

That wouuld be great if you could get some names of the better hostels....

Also since you live there is work relatively easy to come by, bar work etc ??

I know Feb09 is along way away but these...

Phew thanks for the informative post. Would the high prices of property include hostels and the like. I'm planning on backpacking Oz for a year.

Planning on staying for around 3 months maybe 4...

Thanks for the above links. Checked them previous though. I think Perth is on a winner i'll have enough time to stay near the coastline once I head over to the east coast.

P85 form is correct , according to my local tax office just fill that form in with a copy of your p45 and they "should" do all the rest.

But think we all know the uk tax offices aren't the best...
