I agree with everything you say but you forgot to mention the high crime in the UK, its a fact you can wait literally days for the police to respond to a call, I personally had my vehicle broken into...

We have just moved our entire belongings from the UK and were charged £300 in tax's, I understand to claim this back is such a complicated process its simply not worth the effort.

Will a criminal conviction for actual bodily harm (only conviction) from 40 years ago affect application for residency in Spain, although it was only one punch no use of a weapon I appreciate it...

Thanks Barrie, but this is my worry about the catch 22 situation, say roughly 20.000 insurance and an income of about 35.000 (or do the authorities feel out of the 35K people can afford 20K before...
