Ageism?
Hello everybody, I have just discovered this fantastic site and I am very impressed with the knowledge of the members.
I have a question to which I would be grateful for your thoughts, regarding the DV lottery although it is not written does anyone think there may be age discrimination ie if a winner is over 50 they may be deemed more a hindrance than an asset to the USA therfore the application may be rejected.. Many thanks

A hinderance in what way? The DV winner still has to meet the financial criteria and pass the medical before they are issued the appropriate visa to enter the US as a PR.
They still carry the same restrictions has any other person who is a PR, no means tested benefits until after five years of residency and that includes Medicare (healthcare provided by the government).
