If you are on a budget, try Bayswater car rentals - also known as 'No Birds'. Not much choice with the car you have, but much cheaper than any other company. Not sure thet are based at the airport...

Only the main applicant pays for the visa. The other people named on the visa are included in the fee. So it will be about £1000 for the visa overall. But I agree, the costs are staggering when...

Hi,

My skills assessment was sent on 23rd May and I received my certificate on the 8th August - they said 8 weeks was the average and weren't far off!

I got the email today about the new visa with a Jan 2010 start date as originally planned. Hope everyone got the same email. Thanks to all who have been supportive while this has been on hold.

There are no other options at present really. A 175 visa is not on CSL or MODL so won't be processed for at least a year. Mine was submitted in Sept 2008 and there is little chance of it being looked...

I was due out in jan 2010, primary teacher. Had same email mentioning about a likely change of visa. Sys they are still committed to employing me, but they can't say when. Hoping for news soon.

I applied for a 175 visa as a primary teacher in September 2008. It is not on the critical skills list (CSL) or the MODL (Occupations in demand list) and at the moment they are only processing visas...

I received confirmation today that I have been accepted on the DET WA sponsorship program. I am a primary teacher and will begin work in January 2010 - delighted!!!
