Default Car Hire in Perth

Hi - We are going for our Reccie in March and will need to hire a car for a couple of weeks when we get to Perth. Can anyone recommend a good car hire company please and advise the best way to do this - i.e before we leave or when we get there? Also what happens with booster seats - We have two daughters aged 7 and 6 - Do the hire company provide these? Out 7 year old is tall for her age and doesn't have a booster seat in the UK.

Thank you

hi MrsE, we went over to Perth in october to validate visas and hired a car from the airport which wasn't to bad. just be careful when adding on extra driver's as they can get a bit carried away when making up your bill. as for booster seats we didn't get any for the 7yr old twins as we where told it wasn't law, we did get a seat for 16month old from car company again easy enough to sort out and not alot of money, hope this helps.

If you are on a budget, try Bayswater car rentals - also known as 'No Birds'. Not much choice with the car you have, but much cheaper than any other company. Not sure thet are based at the airport though, but they have a branch in east Perth.

Its always more expensive to hire from airports so its worth looking at inner city companies but wiegh this up with getting too and from the airport then make your mind up. There are plenty of cheaper companies which would probably be the better option.

We've used M2000 several times and they have always been very good and cheap. They will pick you up from the airport or are a 5 min taxi drive away.

We use Europcar from Perth airport and they were very good. Mitso Outlander cost us $350 for the first week and $300 for the second - included insurance and 3 child seats. We just dropped it off at the airport and left the keys - all was fine. BoL

Hi Mrs E

We used Carhire 3000 last year for our reccie, can highly recommend them, we booked it in uk before we went, if I can remember we paid £350 for 2 weeks car hire Mitsubishi Pajero (in my term similar to a Landrover,) very impressed with just how new & spotless the car was, we too had kids 10 & 7 but were advised that car seats were'nt compulsory like here in UK, hope this helps.

Nicky
