Our visas are still valid, does that make any difference?

We just want to make sure that if we do return, then there will be no problems after we arrive.

NSW seems the same as Kirsten said for WA, that you can start learning at 16, but not take the test until 17:

When we applied for our permie residency (3 years ago) the age limits were for any person on the application, not just the main applicant.

This may have changed since then though.

As far as I can remember, DIMA sent an acknowledgement letter to say they had the application, gave us a file number and cashed the cheque...and that was it for a while.

We heard nothing to say...

I think that Commonwealth will drop the monthly fee if you have a certain amount of savings too.

Also, I believe that 'credit unions' are supposedly 'cheaper' than banks, but don't know anything...
