With RBC it was like banging your head against a brick wall - computer says no! I walked in to CIBC and walked with a 7k limit card. As mentioned Scotia bank are excellent too with new comers.

Canadian Affair, as stated, are the cheapest - pay peanuts and guess what you get? :rofl:

I would rather pay the extra and fly with Air Canada - better service, food, free drink, leg room, video...

Very high if you are relying on money from the UK, exchange rate is very poor.

The same if you are earning $ as it's all relative.

If you do check Air Canada too, just checked and their flights to Halifax from Heathrow are now cheaper than Canadian Affairs current rates (which go up in April according to their website) plus Air...
