It's not going to be easy.

However, there is railway and metro construction in the offing/underway (hard to judge the exact status from the PR news articles) in the Jeddah/Makkah/Medinah triangle....

There are some nice beaches to the south of Jeddah and great Red Sea diving to be had.

Also, the mountains nearby, they get enough rain to be green and lush, and an interesting...

I run on side streets parallel to Palestine Street to the central corniche - it's about 2km. Sides streets are quieter, but not as well lit - look out for random holes and sewage spills!
