Re: What has happened to humanity - Afghan Refugees, Perth?

Anyone with an ounce of sense would have realised that they were lighting a powder keg when they started a thread like this.

The only person who is 'showing themselves up', is you by lowering...

Re: nice suburbs in western australia

I suggest that you start looking at some real estate sites. If you've learnt anything from this thread, it's that everybody has different views about where to live. We can offer a thousand...

Re: Hairdressing and travel agency wages

Re: What do you guys think about the Wanneroo area?

Well, there you go. Even January '08 is fairly up to date for Perth. As I said, it seemed quite up to date as we're in Carramar and have only been moved in for a year.

But, back to the original...

Not sure where you are, Dorothy, but ours seems fairly up to date. Makes a change for Perth to get something first.

Re: Hairdressing and travel agency wages

Sorry Celia, just saw this last part of your post. For us, it was very easy. A couple of stud walls in the garage, a lick of paint, lights and plumbing and my wife was ready to go.

All we did was...

Re: What do you guys think about the Wanneroo area?

Hi Dorothy,

We're talking about 'Street View' not just Google Earth. Everywhere I've seen in Street View is very new. You have to zoom in very close, then you see camera icons along the street....

Re: What do you guys think about the Wanneroo area?

Dorothy is right. When people mention Wanneroo, they normally mean the suburb of Wanneroo. The Shire of Wanneroo, though, has many suburbs all the way up to Yanchep.

This link might help;...

Re: What do you guys think about the Wanneroo area?

Well, that all comes down to personal choice so don't take my word for any of this. It also depends on what you need around you. Every suburb has schools, parks and local shops, and, unless you move...

Re: nice suberbs in western australia

Would definitely steer clear of Kinross!

As a lot of people use the beaches here, you are not going to find a quiet suburb near the beach as that's a bit of a contradiction in terms. Having said...

Re: What do you guys think about the Wanneroo area?

One of the oldest parts of WA. The main senior school used to have a very bad reputation, police doing spot checks at the school for drugs, etc.

They have just improved the local shops so now a...
