Have you tried J.C.Guerreiro at the top end of Rua Primeiro Dezembro, in Tavira ?. Good place for many electrical fittings, cable etc. I have seen quite a range of switches and sockets in there.

I dont know if its any help but have you looked at the scrapyard outside of Tavira. Head up towards Fonte Salgada, take the left turn to the council rubbish tip about 200 metre's before the village....
