Coutts vs. Carway

We're heading down to the border tomorrow and trying to decide which port of entry to take. We've heard alot of people go to Coutts but Carway is a little closer. Has anyone experienced either?

We're heading down on Thursday to try the border, if not we will have an appointment at a CIC office in 4-6 weeks. Hopefully the border works out!

But that's what the guy from immigration just told me on the phone and we know several ppl here that have done that...just told them what they're there to do and turn around to come back.

Good luck with actually getting to talk to someone! When I hit "0", it says all the agents are busy and to try calling later. Frustrating!

No, we are in Lake Louise, Alberta! If we were in Newfoundland, we could go to St. Pierre. I will call the number again tomorrow and see if I can get more information from that. Hopefully we can just...

He called but it was automated and the only option that sounded applicable was the calling service canada for more information on border services, which we'll have to do tomorrow because they're open...

The letter that came with his PR Visa says taht he can obtain his PR status in Canada or by leaving Canada. How can he obtain it in Canada? It says to call a number, which I did but that didn't...

Also, do you think he needs a visitor visa to go to the US border? If we don't actually go into the states, is that ok?
