ffffffff I thought long and hard about this thread and yes I WAS used as a second class citizen on my TWP ,things changed after PR but listening to people giving stick etc to fellow workers...

found out from a friend its 113hrs training ,classroom,yrd,road ….plus you need to have passed the air brake exam/practicle, class1 written as well and not forgetting the post trip exam as well. this...

total retest ,your uk experience means next to nothing ,sad to say. its the Canadian way. cant comment about AB but many provinces have just changed the rules on getting a Class 1 with air...

well it seems the last 22yrs I worked in the uk for the same company I had a private pension,i didn't think it would be much but they tell me I get a small lump sum circa $10K and &500 a month next...

well my wife now is a citizen did her oath in winkler at their first ever ceremony. ,nice ceremony. Daughter goes this Thursday to Winnipeg for hers at via rail..

Iirc the RCMP don't charge for citizenship fingerprints ,they might charge $25 for fee etc but my local office does not. but private comps do (so I just have been told).,sorry beckiwoo picked you...

yup wife said the cic worker said the same when she took her paperwork in …..I timed her less than 2minutes in office....1 hr wait for surname letter to come up lol

alli call intae a service Canada office ,the one out by st vital centre helped a friend out quickly with his questions. you cant phone your local office as its a secret!!

ahh mates used to hire bike for Sturgis and pick up at Sturgis HD (flew into MB on holiday to visit,hired a car in MB with US coverage,,,they were UK citizens and yup uk credit card and UK bike...
