Where I am there's loads of beautiful birds, very noisy but lovely parrots, also lots of lovely plants and gardens with loads of beautiful pants I just love - but, I still do miss the old lovely...

Moved out at end of 2000 (wish knew this site then).
Didnt get homesick at all luckily

Had one holiday back after 2 years, then 2 years later moved back for 14 months (ping pong :)......then...

Not being a city person I totally am with you on living 'out of the smoke' but Oz is really different from UK. You can live in the middle of the countryside in UK with pretty close...
