We came to Australia in Feb on a sponsored 457 permanent residency visa.

We actually activated our visa in April last year though and went back to the UK to sell our house etc before moving over...

Believe it or not the earths magnetic field is different on this side of the world, TV will probably work with or without sound which is relatively easily fixed but you may well find colour...
