When we booked our seats we did have the option to reserve seats but there were no extra leg room seats available - and we have no idea if there ever were.

We booked our end of April, Singapore Air flights MAN-MEL day before Christmas Eve. :)

Booked our flights to Melbourne today - so excited!

We arrive in Melbourne on the 1st May 2007 but will need somewhere to stay.

My experience its 18 months start to finish.

That's including the time it took for me to get all documentation needed for skills assessment.

We got our 136 visa, not on MODL list December 06....

We got ours on Tuesday.

Again no word of a case officer and we were starting to panic :scared:

Had a surprise email this morning to say our 136 visa (not MODL) has been granted.

Visa submitted 30th June 2006, medicals and police checks frontloaded.

No word from immigration, not...

My understanding is that once you validate your visa you then have to live in Australia for a total of 2 years.

However you have 5 years from the date of your validation in which your 2 years...

At what point you send off your visa is a personal decision. I couldn't advise about sending off before you've heard about state sponsorship, guess you'd have to start a question to hear other...

I am really stressed too. :scared:

Our medicals and police checks frontloaded and our visa application is logged as of 30/06/06. No case officer yet as we are not on MODL. Left my job too...

Hubby has auto-immune disease/chronic illness, pretty rare and has to take steroids.
