Re: Is the grass always going to be greener??

Hi KK - sorry I didn't respond to your post - I've been off line for a while! Well, if I'd known you were going to be in Wimborne, you could have come for a cup of tea! That's where I live!

finding it hard to re-settle

Some of you may remember me from being a regular MBTUK reader and poster last year. We left Perth in July 2007 and have ended up back in Dorset, from where we left in 2005. I am interested to know...

Re: Decision finally made....we are heading back to UK!! yess!

We've just been to Florida on our way back from Perth to the UK - 2 1/2 years? You deserve a medal - 2 1/2 days would have been enough for me!! However, my nephew raves about living there. I could...

Re: What do we do?

We have found ourselves in the very same situation with our son, who is currently in Yr 11 at school here. We are going back in July, and were very concerned about him going into 6th form and...

Re: What do we do?

I think you'll find they do take that time into account. I have been out of Oz for a total of 8 weeks in the last 2 years (various holidays) and whereas I arrived in Oz in April 2005, I could not...

Re: What do we do?

Just a thought. A 16 year old possibly has a very good chance of returning anyway, and getting his/her own citizenship at a later stage, as so many hundreds have done. He/She may well have a skill...

Shipping Companies - can anyone recommend?

A very dull thread, I'm sorry, but I just wondered if anyone has good advice about recommending a good shipping company? We've been quoted $13,600 from Wrigeways (40ft container - taking back a...

Re: Going Back

Not to mention a massive shortage of chefs, and restaurants even having to close down because they just can't get the chefs! It's insane. I've even seen programmes about the chronic shortage of...

Re: A little bit excited all of a sudden

July - via Sydney, Qld, Hawaii and Florida - and I can't wait. Knowing me, I'll probably decide I want to live in Hawaii or Florida - just the escape from Perth is what excites me the most!! We...

Re: This forum has completed my journey

Seeing the Uk through very different eyes must be the best thing to have come out of the time and experience you had living in Perth. This must be the most valuable learning curve of all, and one I...
