Thanks for the clarification.

Price won't be too bad as it will only be a one-way flight UK-AUS. It seems lifemiles do better deals than AA but trying to find flights with them puts me off.

Wow taxes are heavy and hadn't looked into the inheritance side of things.

We would still take a holiday somewhere else during another end of term, don't think we will be able to avoid the likes...

Yes, is it roughly 10% on buying, not sure on selling hadn't thought of that as hopefully we wold be buying now to use as a holiday home for about 20 years and then as a retirement home 6months...

MY husband is a gasfitter, we are in Qld so can only tell you about here. In Qld he had to get his LPG and natural gas licenses, this entailed sitting the relevant exams and was very time consuming....

Our life insurance is with the Legal & General, I informed them we were moving to Australia and asked if we could keep the policy with them. It wasn't a problem and they confirmed the same in writing.

I love my Apple TV too, bought it to watch Netflix which is great. I couldn't find out if Netflix could be used on an Australian WD TV live box as would have preferred that.

Just had a 101 visa granted for my daughter, took seven and half months and was lodged in London. The client charter times are certainly way out for this visa type.

If payslips are easier you could sponsor your child instead of your husband. I wouldn't get too hung up on it though, my husband took a year off when we had our daughter so we only put in payslips...

Hi, you need to prove the past 2 years earnings with either payslips or a letter from an employer.

Not sure if it has changed now, we applied in May, but we also put in a copy of mine and hubby's...
