Of course you can find it... there are restaurants in Seville and Vadiz to rival many in London, it all depends on where you go and how much you spend.

There are plenty of families struggling in Spain, but as many have posted, the family helps out. I have been told that the next generation will suffer as they will not have the benefit of parents...

Thanks for all your replies. My gut instinct was to tell them to get the insurance and to hell with the cost. Too many people spend a fortune going to funerals overseas, better to spend the money...

If you are taking a caravan make sure you can heat it. On the Costa de la Luz for the last two years we have got by with a small electric radiator in the bedroom and a woodburner in the living room...
