Re: Travelling on 2 passports

FWIW, I travel back and forth between the US and the UK all the time. I use the US passport to enter the US and the UK one to enter the UK. Never ever had an issue.

Re: Back to the UK for a potential spouse or stay in Canada

Beckiwoo, I think you'll find that's a problem everywhere. Every country has men like that (and women, too, I suspect), even the UK. Trust me, I know.

It is lovely that you've met someone you...

Re: Citizen or Not?

Re the OP: You only need to establish that your OH's mum was still a Candian Citizen at the time of your OH's birth. Just getting British Citizenship does NOT mean that she relinquished Canadian...

Re: Can i take my dog when i move to Canada?

Cesar Milan is a pr*ck. Get a dog from someone who loves them, not bullies them.

I would also disagree that importing a horse is cheaper than importing a budgie. I've just started looking into...

Re: Help...Calgary Airport & dogs arriving

The only thing that puts me off flying the dogs is the fear that the whole plane will hear Molly yodelling from the cargo hold the whole way. She hates travelling in the back of our estate, let alone...

Re: Noooo, not bacon!

You guys are starting to freak me out. I'm a total foodie (a fact to which my waistband will attest) and if both the cheese and bacon are pants, then what, pray tell, is the point of living there?

Re: Royals win French Ruling

Ah, I see where this is going. This is not about reading what I said, it's about reading INTO what I said that which will really piss you off despite whether it's true or not. Fair enough. Not my...

Re: Its all about the cheese.

So, it's even more expensive than the UK, but not much. It's about £5-6 for 500g, which I would make to be about $9 a pound? Whereas (supermarket) Camembert is about £3 or £4 for 250g.

If...

Re: Its all about the cheese.

I had to check the date of that article and make sure it wasn't posted on the 1st of April. So, how much IS cheese in Canada? Because if it's prohibitively expensive, I'm going to have seriously...

Re: Royals win French Ruling

I never said I was in favour of undemocratic intervention, so don't put words in my mouth, thank you. My point is simply that undemocratic or not, his interventions may have actually been for the...

Any evidence...

Re: 6 Months Today and going back

Erm, actually, I think helcat is right.

And I can speak from direct experience because, 25 years ago, at the age of 17, I moved from the US to the UK. I hated it and was homesick the whole time....
