Port Stephens is beautiful but small, not alot there really. A marina, great beaches, lots of holiday rentals and camp sites etc but not much else - we holiday there :D. Not sure of rents or job...

I did mention maternity leave...can't work and breast feed until baby older and feeding slows down as can only express once per shift (am an RN).

Swimming not a luxury as we surrounded by ocean...

No it's not. Why would I pretend to be struggling if I'm not? The whole point of my post was to illustrate that it is possible to live on less than $100k a year and still be happy. There are tons...

Depends what your after, beachside, schools, acreage, transport links, no of beds and how far your willing to commute/travel time. $400 will get you something decent. Suburbs I like best beachside...

1. See Obstetrician privately throughout pregnancy for all checkups, pay for all, give birth in public or private...
