No recommendations but just an observation - they are very hard to get. May have to compromise on using visitor visas and flying in/ out every 3 months.

Yep - we've just agreed to rent out our flat, starting February. Didn't even go on market - renting to the daughter of some acquaintances. All the rentals in our strata are to 'friends and family'...

Yes, Perth is cheaper than East Coast - but 'nice house, nice area' is always going to cost. You can check out REIWA, but I would think you are looking at 700k+.

Doable I think. Obviously you'll need lots of savings to fund living costs while studying, and there's no guarantees of PR at the end (may fail medicals etc)

If your bridging visa is associated with a visa application for permanent residency then you are eligible for Medicare.

But as 884 is a temporary stay visa, the bridging visa doesn't give Medicare...
