Default Moving to Australia for a few years... is it possible?

Hi All,

This is my first time posting on the forum, after reading other posts and realising how helpful everybody is, I thought I'd ask for some advice!

My girlfriend and I are in the process of exploring our options of moving to Australia for a few years and after researching visa options, I'm stuck as to whether it would even be possible. Here's a bit of background on us:

We're both British, UK citizens, 23 years old. My job is on the skills list, but my Girlfriend's isn't. She has a degree in Fashion Business Marketing, I have a Level 3 and 4 apprenticeship qualification linking to my job role, along with a couple of more specialist IT certifications. I have worked at my employer since I was 16, so have over 7 years experience in the field. I have a half sister who migrated to Australia around 10 years ago and is now a citizen with an Australia fiance and two children.

What visa options (if any) would be available to us?

Thanks in advance!

As well as the skilled visas, given that you are looking at a period of a few years rather than permanently, you might have a look at the Working Holiday Visa options?

I wouldn't say people here are useful, nonetheless...

Under the new agreement, welcome aboard!

Unfortunately you may not get in due to current flu restrictions.

The restrictions are for COVID not flu. They are different.
The trade agreement has nothing to do with the current visas on offer - the OP would be better listening to TeeTMI above, or booking an appointment with a migration agent (TeeTMI is one)
