Moving to Australia for a few years... is it possible?
Hi All,
This is my first time posting on the forum, after reading other posts and realising how helpful everybody is, I thought I'd ask for some advice! My girlfriend and I are in the process of exploring our options of moving to Australia for a few years and after researching visa options, I'm stuck as to whether it would even be possible. Here's a bit of background on us: We're both British, UK citizens, 23 years old. My job is on the skills list, but my Girlfriend's isn't. She has a degree in Fashion Business Marketing, I have a Level 3 and 4 apprenticeship qualification linking to my job role, along with a couple of more specialist IT certifications. I have worked at my employer since I was 16, so have over 7 years experience in the field. I have a half sister who migrated to Australia around 10 years ago and is now a citizen with an Australia fiance and two children. What visa options (if any) would be available to us? Thanks in advance! |

As well as the skilled visas, given that you are looking at a period of a few years rather than permanently, you might have a look at the Working Holiday Visa options?

I wouldn't say people here are useful, nonetheless...
Under the new agreement, welcome aboard! https://www.dfat.gov.au/trade/agreem...iations/aukfta Unfortunately you may not get in due to current flu restrictions. |

The trade agreement has nothing to do with the current visas on offer - the OP would be better listening to TeeTMI above, or booking an appointment with a migration agent (TeeTMI is one) |
