We have an appointment with a life insurance broker in town, will let you know how we get on as they might be able to suggest a will writer (If such a thing exists in NZ) ;)

We did our own visas. Just make sure you answer all the fields, putting "n/a" where it is required. We left some fields blank and that caused stress and added to the overall delay of the application...

I agree that you may have underestimated the costs. Small things like restocking the kitchen, cleaning supplies and bits and bobs to restock a house quickly adds up, as someone else has already...
