I don't believe that its dead in the water. They underestimated the response of the fans and it was a PR disaster, but it hasn't gone away. It will be back in a few months with a modified format.

A Brit friend of mine here in Fils regularly flies into UK and uses the NHS for free, including hospital visits and treatment. He is registered with a GP and has all of his prescription meds also...

Foreigners married to Filipinos or parents of Filipino children are allowed to enter. They must arrange a visa before arrival, a 9a visa will suffice, but has to be before arrival.

You do NOT need to arrive together. That is only if you wish to avail of the BB. If you are only requiring a normal tourist visa on arrival, you can be alone, but yes you will need the marriage...

I called them re the Proof of Life form that they sent to me. Answered promptly and after a couple of security questions, they marked my POL as cleared and confirmed that there was no need to send...

Doesn't make much difference, whether you're left to die, because lack of insurance/funds or lack of health care capacity. Pretty sorry state of affairs either way.
