I have just been using Paypal for transferring money between UK and USA bank accounts. The fees have been pretty low so far. I think it cost me about £2 last time I did a transfer of about £400.

Also, to clarify. Whenever I ordered a Subway sandwich I did not eat the whole thing in one go. It would often be eaten for two meals. :)
