When I did this a few years a go you needed a reason to get the ITIN, which was to file taxes. I prepared our returns on TurboTax, printed it and took it with the ITIN applications to the IRS office....

Partially, as I only had a few days to expiration I was able to get the license renewed until the date of my EAD. (That was showing in SAVE.)

The earlier SAVE question was me. This may help understand the challenges I faced around April.
For additional info; PA DMV requires a SSN or a letter stating you are not eligible for one.

My use of CaseCheck would agree with this. CaseCheck tells you who accessed the information and if they accessed it successfully. No indication at all of what is there to access.

Sorry, it seemed quick so I rechecked my dates. My PERM application was filed in January. All of the ads etc were completed towards the end of 2016.

Start to finish for me was approx 2 years....

That is the reason for my not switching. I can save 40 cents per gallon (~15%) but have read 15-25% loss in mpg. So at best no benefit!
