We've had our forms in since 31 March 05 for permanent (sponsored) visa. After 3 months were requested to re-do UK police checks. Had them in at DIMIA since end of August and still not heard...

I think it must vary on which state you are in. We are in Victoria and had to have meds and x-rays done again because we were applying for a permanent visa as opposed to the temporary 457.
