As your initial post seemed to be getting at people who dis the UK because of crime (when in fact crime is comparable in both countries)...

Just a point of order.

If someone complains about crime, etc. in the UK then they get jumped on because both countries have similar levels of crime; which is fair enough (with one reservation)....

As phoenix has already said, the supermarkets use the same practices here.

However, you may be pleasantly surprised when you arrive as you will find that if you buy seasonally, the shopping bill...

Premises are cheaper here so this accounts for a lot of the saving.

Also UK take away is subject to an extra 7.5% of sales tax.

If you are PR then you can drive on your UK licence for 3 months. If you are on a temp visa then you can drive on your UK licence all the time.

Whether you have to take a test or not depends on...
