Default Cheapest time of year to go to Oz?

Anyone know when flights are cheapest?

We want to go out and have a bit of a reccie, there'll be 3 of us flying, Mr Clip is thinking about going over Christmas as he's always out of work Christmas so technically he wouldn't be losing any pay.

p.s. It's blooming cold here....and my central heating is currently in various parts on the floor :scared:

When I came, April seemed to be the cheapest, although beware of the Easter holidays.

Thanks Steve, I'll let Mr Clip know it's most expensive time, probably best to delay - Christmas is expensive enough without a trip to Oz I guess.

April would suit me better Al, especially as tis my birthday month

December is always expensive, the price appears to drop on the 17th Jan next year as friends have just booked and it was £469 I think.

Kath,

Have you looked at the different airline's own websites. Some are offering BOGOF deals for adults. You'd have to pay for little one though.

Just thought of something. Lots of the BOGOF offers are in the travel pages of the Sunday papers. If you can wait until Sunday you might find some decent offers. You'd need to be quick because the dates and seats are limited.
