There is just one fund which is on the new QROPS list. It seems they are taking a big risk due to the conflicting UK & OZ Laws re Super Funds

Mooloolaba and Caloundra are growing areas and I don't think you'll find too much trouble getting work once you have your Electricians ticket. Maybe an electrician on here would be able to tell you...

More than a bit worrying for those of us with UK pensions who used to get $2.30 - $2.50 for each pound ( just a year ago!) and now will only get $1.75.
That's a big pay cut!!

My wife works there & we live in Cleveland.
By car 35 minutes; by train 55mins (Southbank Station, then a 4 min walk)
Car parking is available at the Mater and is subsidised for staff - I think...

Agree 100%. I think the Politicians prefer complexity though , it is easier to get lots more from the poor than from those who can afford professional help.

I don't understand this; 3 years ago when we came to Oz we got $2.45 for each UK Pound; yesterday the commercial rate (mere mortals get worse) was $2.17 for each Pound. Doesn't this suggest the Oz...
