Cleveland to Mater?

Cleveland to Mater?
Hi, we are trying to decide where to live and apply for jobs near Brisbane. Really like the Cleveland area and as I am a Paed Nurse thought that the Mater was probably the closest hospital. Anyone got any thoughts about the hospital, travelling times to Cleveland etc. Any info please!Thanks

I work at the Mater and although I don't live in Cleveland myself I know quite a few who do.
So, it can't be that bad a commute!
I'm sure someone will come along soon and give you more detailed info
From what I have heard there are loads of Brits in Cleveland.

My wife works there & we live in Cleveland.
By car 35 minutes; by train 55mins (Southbank Station, then a 4 min walk)
Car parking is available at the Mater and is subsidised for staff - I think it's about $3.50 a day.
Maybe someone will provide exact costings if necessary.

It's due to go up next month to $4 + still cheap compared to some parking!

I agree with Arnie here..... although I thought you weren't allowed on the nurses forum Arnie cos you aren't a nurse are you?
