Re: Crossing US border with dog

You just need proof of rabies vaccine. I've never been asked and I've taken my dog a few times. I've only been asked about food once.

As for going inside, I took my dog to Seattle when my family...

Re: Class 7/5 GDL driving permit question

You'll swap it for an L and will have to do the Class 7 program. The only "perk" you'll get is that you don't have to wait a year to take the road test (you'll be able to book it once you've swapped...

Re: Greggs or Tim Hortons?

Definitely Greggs.

I used to work there once upon a time. I would always put a fresh batch of whatever I was fancying in the oven before my break so I didn't have to pick anything cold

Re: Taking Pet dog ashes on flight

As long as security can see through it on the x-ray it should be fine.

This is the policy in Canada, can't see the UK being much different.

Re: Taking Pet dog ashes on flight

Who are you flying with? Air carriers have different policies.

In Canada, you can take ashes with you and there are special screening procedures at security. The UK probably has...

Re: Air Canada

You guys are hilarious. There is no "list" when you tell a CATSA Screener that the rules are stupid. They hear it all day, everyday.

Re: Some updates.

Ah ok, might even be split shift. I don't really know. I don't know when the posting ends but I can find out some information for you if you want, though I'm not in again until Tuesday.

Or if...

Re: Some updates.

The screening position might just be casual as it's a small airport. At YVR it's 24/7/365. Do you have a full RAIC? That might go in your favour if you choose to apply.

Re: Some updates.

Rocky suuuuuucks. I worked there before, they pay barely above minimum wage and they treat their station staff badly.

Good luck, hopefully you find something :)

Re: PR flying to Canada with no ETA - boarding woes?

If you're travelling with BA call them up and they'll add your PR card number on to the ticket.

I had trouble checking in online last time I was over as I had a British Passport and no ETA, after...

Just got my invite to take my oath on April 10.

Re: How difficult is the Citizenship Test?

It's really easy. Do the practice tests / read (or listen to) the book and you'll be fine.

I used this one to do the practice tests - Canadian Citizenship Practice Test - Richmond Public Library...
