Im writing this as I've received a fair bit of conflicting advice.

Im a PR in Aus (4 years) and am travelling back to the UK mid may for 2 weeks.

Just stayed in Raffles the plaza. Truly amazing. We booked on line with expedia and cost £70 a night for a double room that was upgraded to delux. Highly recommended.
