I got a work visa through my partner the other week & it took 5 days but they had spelt my middle name wrong so my passport has gone back again, should get it back by end of next week...

Anyone looking at one way flights to Christchurch from Manchester - Singapore airlines are about £200 cheaper than all the others (for October anyway)

Its usually better to go with one carrier all the way and back - if there are any problems with one flight (late) then the other will be covered.

You do have to have lived together for 2 years to get a partner visa if you're partner is a resident - so i'm presuming it's the same if you go over for work?
