we are at karana downs near mount crosby west of brissie on the way to ipswich, 5 acres gorgeous views ! we did do 2 years bayside birkdale/wp but I didnt like suberbia ! love it out here ;-)

we are out west, ipswich way on acerage, tho we too rented when we first got here, then bought but suberbia wasnt for us, (nor was the huge expat community around us (not that we dont like the brits...

has been tricky, but we are now almost there, have had to go for a full approval rather than a small one ie for an extenstion or patio as the granny house is over 70m2, appears all council ahve...

yes we have had to get full permission as in as if you are building whole new house as its over 70m2.....hasd been bit of nightmare but building work starting soon....

Ha she is a reason we left ! in laws coming for 2 months on sunday, we have moved to acreage so we can build a granny falt (a 2 bed self contained timber kit home has laundry kitchen everything)...

I rememebr the 18 months in the UK waiting for the visa and it was always good to see some positive posts from people already in OZ made us feel there was light at the end of the tunnel. I say one...

We arrived in Brisbane on 23rd Dec 04, me hubby and 3 month old son, no house, no car, no jobs, no clue where to live just us and cash in the bank and a container with our lifes possesions following....

its about 6 overnight here bayside.

i lived in moscow for a while and I saw +45 in the summer and -45 in the winter, we sat in the sauna with our clothes on adn stuck newspaper on the windows !
