Re: Christmas Already?

Do you all stick to the 'British Christmas' traditions in Hungary or adapt to the natives?
A long time ago (in Hungary) we got up early on Christmas morning to put up the tree. 'Calom' sweets and...

Re: Hello! Hopefully looking for some advice (if someone has a minute :] )

Do not get ahead of yourself. You are under the impression that you have to make commitments now and that is the end. Rubbish.......
Do not do anything. Go and see....Treat is as a holiday at first....

Re: Hello! Hopefully looking for some advice (if someone has a minute :] )

Go for it. If you don't you will never know and could live to regret it. What is the worst that can happen? You come home?
Good luck and enjoy, you only live once, and everyone has advice.

Re: Telephoning in europe

Cards turn out expensive, would have preferred a short code for local networks, but no-one knows of any so far. Had a look at TuMe, thought I had found what I am looking for, but needs a wifi...

Re: Telephoning in Hungary

I don't know why they do this. The red tape is old hat now, perhaps it's a way of keeping everyone employed. It's bloody annoying and unnescessary.
If possible I go without rather than go through...

Re: Telephoning in Hungary - Facetime

Let me know how you get on with 3g. 8 out of 10 frinds have had no problems here, so I am not sure if it was the area or something else, but I would be interested to know if anyone has any problems. ...

Re: Telephoning in Hungary

It wasn't a question of where did I go, at that time there was no options. Had to go to the telephone supplier. But it was a while back, tempus fugit.

I have had sim card a long time, when it was necessary for a friend of mine to get it for me. Is it now easier to get another sim card, as a foreigner/tourist, or are there still silly restrictions?...

Re: Cooking in Hungary

Hate to keep on, this isn't just conversation, I would really like to know. If one makes a coffee cream, usually with double cream to float like home, which cream would be best to use? Has anyone...

Re: Telephoning in europe

I was hoping for some codes on the mobile, as in the UK, when I don't have access to the internet. If I get the inetrnet, sometimes the access is so slow, might as well send a letter.
Surely it...

Re: Telephoning in Hungary

Good luck with 3G. It is pretty restricted to certain areas. I think 4G will never even get a look in.

Re: Julian Assange

Don't all rush to put up any bail for this one. All the bail from friends and fans has gone down the swany because he won't crawl out of his hole. Didn't expect anything else really!

Re: 2 Pin Adaptors

I stayed in a very large expensive guest house a while back, and every time I switched the hair dryer or perculator on, the electric shorted out. They told me to only use one socket at a time, and...

Re: Building Barn in Hungary
