I am a salaried employee, working for a UK subsidiary of a US parent company. I work in various places around the world, working 4 weeks then having 4 weeks off...

If you`re transferring more than about £5,000 use a foreign exchange company - you`ll get Forex rates instead of tourist rates, a big difference. Even using your local bank will get you a rate...
